Diesel Emission Reduction Act

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has awarded a subgrant to the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission (SEMO RPC) to fund Clean Diesel Grant Projects in the Southeast Missouri area through the use of a Request for Proposals (RFP). Owners and operators of diesel vehicles or equipment stationed in the following counties will be eligible to apply for the funding: Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Iron, Madison, Perry, St. Francois, and Ste. Genevieve.

Previous Projects Funded:

The Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission held the lottery for the SEMO RPC 2010 Missouri State Clean Diesel Project on February 15, 2011. As a result of that lottery the Regional Planning Commission will be funding the following projects:

  • Purchase and Installation of 9 Auxiliary Power Units to be installed into privately owned over-the-road trucks,
  • Purchase and Installation of 17 Fuel Opperated Heaters to be installed into school busses, and
  • Purchase of biodiesel fuel meeting stringent company specifications.
