Solid Waste Management District
The Solid Waste Management District is composed of most of the same entities as the Regional Planning Commission. The Solid Waste District considers issues concerning waste disposal, planning and management, implementation of the Solid Waste Management Plan (which was originally prepared by the Commission's staff) for the Region, and distributes grant funding to local entities involved in recycling projects.
