Hazard Mitigation Planning
SEMO RPC works with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and local jurisdictions, including counties, cities, and school districts, to develop local hazard mitigation plans. These plans identify the natural hazards that can potentially impact local jurisdictions and develops actions which can be taken before a disaster occurs to mitigate the impacts to property and human life.
